This 2026 Mother’s Day, I was brought on by San Mateo County Libraries and San Mateo County Parks Foundation to offer mini portrait sessions during their monthly Parents & Babies meet-up at Coyote Point Recreation Area in San Mateo.
These were 5-minute portrait sessions designed to be quick, easy, and meaningful. I tried to capture one classic, everyone-looking shot, followed by natural, candid moments between moms and their babies. Even in a short amount of time, we were able to create images that feel genuine, connected, and lasting.
I set up a simple outdoor studio to blend a clean, modern portrait look with the softness of a park setting — something I’m excited to continue offering as “portraits in the park” for families across the Bay Area.
If you’re looking for a San Mateo family photographer or Bay Area portrait sessions that feel relaxed, efficient, and true to you, this is a format I’ll be building more of soon.
